The Alliance of Business Immigration Lawyers (ABIL) is comprised of 19 of the top U.S. business immigration law firms. ABIL now has over 140 attorneys (460 total staff) devoted to business immigration in 21 major U.S. cities, plus Cologne, Hong Kong, London, Monterrey, Mumbai, Shanghai, Tokyo, Toronto and Vancouver. This makes ABIL’s immigration staffing one of the largest, without losing client accessibility and customer focus.

Global and U.S. Coverage
Through ABIL, we can offer a single point of contact for immigration process management and filing, invoicing and online client case tracking in over 50 countries. ABIL members operate directly in ten countries, with vetted affiliates elsewhere. Click on the global map to find immigration services and location of ABIL attorneys.

Most Comprehensive U.S. Coverage
ABIL has renowned immigration attorneys in 21 U.S. cities. Click on the U.S. map to find immigration services and location of ABIL attorneys.

Most Influential and Connected Professionals
Nearly half of ABIL’s members are on the Executive Board of AILA (the American Immigration Lawyers Association), the 10,000-member organization comprised of most U.S. immigration attorneys. There are three past national AILA Presidents and two future Presidents (the President-Elect and Vice President), along with three members on Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/AILA Liaison Committees, and others who hold regular liaison meetings with the agencies and/or testify before Congress on immigration matters. These relationships bolster ABIL’s access to late-breaking news and expert advice for clients.

Unified Source for Consistent Quality
Each of ABIL’s 19 U.S. members is listed in two or more of the world’s established ranking services for immigration attorneys (Chambers Global and USA, LawDragon, International Who’s Who of Business Immigration Lawyers, Martindale Hubbell AV ratings, and more.). Click here for the ABIL attorneys’ accolades.

Additionally, ABIL members have established a Service Level Standards Committee, so any ABIL member can be counted on for quality, timeliness in case preparation and filing, responsiveness and other core service standards.

Other Examples of ABIL’s Cohesive Approach to Client Service
This is not the ordinary "Strategic Alliance.”
While ABIL started several years ago as the exclusive Academy for prestigious firms, it has evolved into an entity that offers a single point of contact for customer needs, news alerts, staff training and other programs that benefit the client. Here are just a few examples:

  • Our internal list serve keeps all ABIL members in daily contact, so that we can gather up-to-the-hour information from our two Washington, D.C.-based ABIL members and others who regularly testify before Congress and consult with the Departments of Homeland Security, Labor and State on immigration matters.
  • We can get same-day benchmarking information from all over the U.S. on what other companies are doing in terms of immigration policy, as ABIL members represent hundreds of leading companies.
  • We conduct joint training sessions for each other’s firms, and pool our legal and administrative resources better than most franchise offices in the typical multi-office national firm.
  • For all U.S. and international locations we have an ABIL member or global affiliate who can provide a local in-person consultation or accompany an employee to an immigration interview or hearing.
