Charles Kuck commented on the Utah Compact model for other states
Starting in late 2010, Utah formed the Utah Compact through a collaboration of civic and religious leaders. It took a more civil stance on immigration than some states and left the enforcement end to the federal government. The Compact focuses on not separating immigrant families and recognizes the benefits brought by immigration. In the article, “Utah Compact gets traction in other states” Charles Kuck was hopeful that other states would follow the model of the Utah Contract. He commented that “Immigrants have been and always will be the future of America. They’re the lifeblood of new ideas and they bring great values to a state.”
