John Nahajzer’s Story
John Nahajzer began practicing law in 1994. He has assisted Fortune 500 corporations as well as small enterprises in a wide variety of industries, including high tech, hospitality, accounting, and manufacturing, on numerous business immigration legal issues. He leverages the substantial business and operational experience he has gained in order to develop solutions for complex business immigration matters for executives, managers and human resources professionals. John specializes in labor certification, employment-based immigrant petitions, corporate nonimmigrant matters, immigration implications of mergers and acquisitions, I-9 and E-Verify matters, as well as counseling companies on corporate best practices. John regularly speaks on business immigration issues to human resource personnel and management throughout the United States and overseas.
John graduated from The American University’s Washington College of Law in 1993 as a T. Morton McDonald Scholarship recipient. He received his B.A. in Political Theory and Italian with Honors from from the University of Kansas in 1990. Before joining Maggio & Kattar in 2005, John was Assistant General Counsel for MicroStrategy Incorporated where he was responsible for managing the company’s worldwide immigration and employment legal issues and handled a variety of other legal matters, including software licensing and litigation. John has been quoted regularly in various publications concerning business immigration matters, including the Corporate Legal Times, The Washington Post and Computerworld, and was recently chosen by ReedLogic to provide its initial executive seminar concerning business immigration. John is fluent in Croatian and conversant in Italian.
