Nick Rollason’s Story

Nick Rollason advises on all areas of UK immigration and nationality law, with a strong emphasis on business immigration. He has particular expertise in EU law on the free movement of persons and lectures regularly in this area. Nick is a long standing member of the ILPA European subcommittee and has been at the cutting edge of clarifying EU immigration law and policy, and has litigated key test cases before the European Court of Justice. He is a Rapporteur to the European Commission and has taken part in preparing the Annual Report on Free Movement for the UK from 1997-2008. He is a consultant for the International Labour Organisation and for the OECD, for whom he acts as an expert on skilled migration issues. He is the author of the Immigration chapter in the Solicitors Family Law Association’s International Aspects of Family Law and is currently co-authoring the chapter of Free Movement of Persons in Vaughan & Robertson’s Law of the European Union.
